This lantern is 4.5" (11.5cm) in diameter. The ring on top can be used to suspend it using a hook or a chain, or you can use one of our purpose-made lantern hangers. It comes complete with a thistle-shaped glass in which either a nightlight or a room-scenter candle can be burned. The glass protects the flame, enabling the lantern to be used indoors or outdoors. The glass has a peg on the bottom which fits securely into a socket on the base of the lantern, making it removeable for insertion of the nightlight or candle and easy cleaning. Manufactured in the United Kingdom, the lantern is available with a choice of colourless glass or glass coloured blue, green or red. Please note that the colour is applied to the glass after manufacture, therefore care should be taken when cleaning the coloured glasses and they should not be placed in a dishwasher. A variety of purpose-made hangers is available, as well as spare glasses (see below).
